Gunita Barkla
Primary property manager
Gunita grew up in Latvia and studied Business and Human Resources at the University of Jelgava before moving overseas in search of new experiences. Her passion for cooking and pursuit of excellence led her to become a highly regarded private chef, travelling the world aboard superyachts and delivering exceptional culinary service to a select clientele.
Working in an environment defined by precision, discretion, and uncompromising standards shaped her professional mindset – one she now applies to the meticulous care of clients’ properties.
Tomo Barkla
Property manager
Tomo was raised in New Zealand and is certified as both an Electrician and a Marine Engineer. His global experience working on superyachts, combined with property ownership and management in Latvia and New Zealand, brings valuable technical insight and calm, solution-focused communication.
His background in project coordination and client service ensures that issues of any scale are handled efficiently and transparently. A chance meeting with Gunita in an Italian port eventually brought him to Latvia, where he and Gunita now raise their young family.

Our Story
We founded Pērle Property Management after searching to find dedicated & reliable managers for our own Latvian properties while working overseas. As both owners and managers of investment properties – and as long-term users of property management services internationally – we understand exactly what owners deserve, need and expect.
Our experience spans multiple areas of the Latvian property sector, including collaboration with architects, builders & other tradespeople, lawyers, accountants, real estate agents, and debt-recovery professionals. We now apply this network and expertise to support our clients, saving them time, stress, and uncertainty, while ensuring their investments are securely and professionally managed.
